Palmystra ("we", "our", "the app") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our iOS application and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum information necessary to provide and improve our services:
- Camera & Palm Photos: When you use the palm reading feature, your device camera captures an image of your palm. This image is processed in real-time by our AI analysis pipeline and is not stored on our servers. Once the analysis is complete, the image is immediately discarded from memory.
- Birth Date & Profile Information: If you choose to provide your name, birth date, gender, or birth location, this information is used solely to personalize your horoscope, compatibility, and tarot readings.
- Reading History: Your past readings are stored locally on your device to let you revisit them.
- Usage Analytics: We collect anonymous usage data (features accessed, session duration) to understand how the app is used and improve the experience. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
- Anonymous Authentication: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create a device-level anonymous identifier. No email, phone number, or personal credentials are required.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide personalized palm readings, tarot interpretations, horoscopes, and compatibility analyses
- Improve the accuracy and quality of our AI-powered readings
- Analyze aggregated, anonymized usage patterns to enhance the app experience
- Manage subscriptions and in-app purchases
- Communicate important updates about the app or this policy
4. Data Storage & Security
- Palm photos are never stored. Images are processed in volatile memory and discarded immediately after analysis.
- Profile data and reading history are stored securely on your device and, if you opt in, synced via Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest.
- All communication between the app and our servers occurs over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
- We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
5. Third-Party Services
Palmystra integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- OpenAI API: Powers our AI reading engine. Only processed analysis data (not raw photos) is sent to OpenAI for text generation. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
- Firebase (Google): Provides anonymous authentication and optional cloud data sync. See Firebase Privacy.
- RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and in-app purchase validation. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention
We follow a minimal data retention approach:
- Palm photos: zero retention (never stored)
- Anonymous analytics: retained in aggregated form for up to 12 months
- Profile data: retained until you delete your account or request deletion
- You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us
7. Children's Privacy
Palmystra is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
